![]() ![]() The form took on a new figure that emerged from the light and landed at the crater's edge before the dust dissipated to reveal what the figure was. The shape of the crystal shard began to grow larger and larger before it morphed into a new form. It began to give off a bright white light. It was a dark purple crystal shard, approximately the size of an American football. Once it reached roughly fifty meters, the object halted in midair and could be seen clearly. Rodriguez shielded her eyes with one hand from the sun she was leaning far back to see it. The crowd and officers marveled at the shiny projectile which soared into the air. A black-tinted hood opened before shooting something into the sky. It was roughly the shape of a bullet outside its casing, silver in color. Deep within the hole in the road, the object could now be clearly identified as some sort of shuttlecraft. The smoke cleared, and the echoing, muddled voices of the crazed spectators ceased. Rodriguez was among them, but like the pushy, curious citizens, she too wanted to know what landed with such force into the street, looking over her shoulder to see if she could get a good look. Several officers took their posts at the line, waving to the crowd and ordering them to step back. News crews and vans flooded behind the curious onlookers, the people in the group pinning one another closely in a tight space. ![]() They quickly secured the area, taping off access to the giant crater in the street as a large crowd had gathered, phones in hand, recording everything. The Chief concluded and hung up, sounding almost proud and confident in the abilities of their people in blue. Yet Rodriguez cocked a brow, 'Attack from above?' "It's just like we rehearsed and trained for the past three years for, boys, you know what to do. Over their earpieces, their Chief radioed in, "Okay, everyone, we've received a flood of emergency calls from downtown, indicating a potential attack from above." This must be important if the Chief, and not some random dispatcher, was phoning this in themselves. ![]() Regardless of her nerves, Rodriguez quickly joined the fray, jumping into one of the many transport vehicles racing to the scene. Her heart pounded in her chest as she felt something was off about all of this. The rookie could tell, as everyone around her had pale, stern expressions all over their faces. These pistols were only handed out not too long ago, so using them without much training must mean something big was happening. With the newly released laser pistol in hand, she had little idea what was happening. It was a mad dash, and a young rookie named Alexandria Rodrigues found herself in the frenzied mix. Soon, officers in blue uniforms and black tactical gear swarmed the halls, shoving passed one another to get to the garage. Further instructions will be given as more information comes in." The dispatcher said in her monotone voice over the intercom, echoing through the halls of the police station. Repeat we have a major 10-64 in progress downtown. All hands were to be on deck for this! "All units, stand by we have a major 10-64 in progress downtown. Calls flooded into the Metroville Police Department and Rescue Services.
